We are currently in the studio recording a new track that we hope to have out to you in a couple of weeks.  The name of the song is "Can't Stop the Rain" and it was written for a very dear little girl named Emma who has Juvenile dermatomyositis, a debilitating auto immune disease.  (for more info on the disease and cure:  Cure JM Foundation http://www.curejm.com/ )  Thanks to treatment, she is on the upswing, but this is a dangerous and sometimes deadly disease and hopefully, a cure is on the horizon.

We have been busy writing new songs, revamping some old ones and have plans to start recording our new "project" in late August.  We are, so far, very pleased with the new tunes.  If all goes well, we should be playing gigs by late fall.

For those of you who are Tempting Zen fans, the band is on an indefinite hiatus for now, but you will hear some of the "Zen" tunes at gigs, revamped a bit.

Well, all for now.  We are very excited about the future and will keep you updated!

The MAWBRS

It has been a crazy busy summer so far!  Stephan, as many of you know has been working for four years to receive his black belt in Karate and YAY!  He did it earlier this month.  It was a grueling road for him as he worked through two surgeries and a shoulder injury but he really hung in there and did it!

We also started a business called The Perfect Pitch Production Company, wherein we write jingles or full length songs to help businesses brand themselves.  The latest one we've done is for "The Original Cactus Jack BBQ Smoker" check it out:  http://perfectpitchpc.blogspot.com/p/listen-to-demos.html  we had a lot of fun writing and recording it, Doug Wilmarth played guitar on it and wrote all the fun little country "twang" riffs and of course the solo.  He is so talented!

The MAWBRS

Every month we thought we would highlight one of our songs for you.  As Spring turns into Summer and the days turn hot and the nights get balmy, we thought our song "Art of Love" would be the perfect tune for y'all to groove to.  So, when the sun starts to set, and the sky is painted with the colors of the desert, grab your favorite guy or gal and go outside, pull up a chair, pour yourselves your favorite adult beverage, turn on this tune, and enjoy the evening...

Stephan and I had tossed around the idea of the MAWBRS for about a year before we actually solidified it. I guess the real turning point was when we decided that there were songs we wanted to write that did not fit into the scope of Tempting Zen. I think Stephan and I we were trying to force "Zen" into becoming an entity that it wasn't. "Zen" had always been more of a Rock/Progressive type of band, which we enjoy immensely, but Steph and I also wanted to write Pop/R&B stuff...and although we all tried to make a square peg fit into a round hole, well it just didn't work. So...the MAWBRS, came to life.

Although, the MAWBRS is a new band, we already have songs in the works that we are pretty proud of and we can't wait to share them with you. Soon.
